The nucleus of an atom contains protons and neutron because proton has a positive charge and nuetron has a nuetral charge means no charge but and electrons revolve in orbits arond the nucleus.

Protons and neutrons are almost 1836 times heavier than an electro and are thus concentrated within the centre, this is the reason why the protons and neutrons are at the centre!!!

An atom is made up of electron and nucleus where as a nucleus is made up of neutron and proton.
