Polythene is said to be co polymer because similar molecule is ethylene.

When monomers is repeated then forms polymers.
When -n (CH2=CH2) ->>>>>>>> (CH2=CH2) n is called polyethyline.
When -n (CH2=CH2) ->>>>>>>> (CH2=CH2) n is called polyethyline.

As we know polymer is double bond because monomer + monomer is called polymerization.

First things it is not Polythene it is Polyethylene.
Poly = many, mer = unit, Polymer = Many units,
Mono = single or One, Monomer = single unit,
Polyethylene = Polymer.
Ethylene = Monomer, So Monomer of Polyethylene is ethylene.
Ex, Monomer of Polypropylene is Propylene.
