I think in photoelectric emission, the energy of the emitted electrons does not depend on the intensity of the incoming light or the intensity of incident light, but only on the energy (equivalently frequency) of the individual photons. It is an interaction between the incident photon and the outermost electrons.

i=q/t, q=ne so charge q depends on number of electrons and number of electrons depends on intensity. Time t depends on frequency so I guess.

In my view, in photo diodes, photon energy is converted into electric energy depends on the intensity of photons. Here the emission is two types, stimulated and spontaneous emission.

Only classic theory suggested it would be intensity of radiation but einstein said it was because the frequency and hence energy of the photons was more than the threshold.
