JFET is normally on the device.

When Vgs is more negative, the depletion layer widens and almost touch making the device into cutoff. Since Vpinch= Vgs(cutoff), then Idrain=0. So, C is the answer.

The correct answer is A because pinch off v/g is that at which constant & maximam drain c/n obtain.
