@All.
According to me,
1. When the diode is forward biased, it acts like a closed switch. So, only a few/less resistance required to conduct it.
2. When the diode is reverse biased, it acts like an open switch. So, a high resistance (infinity) is required to conduct it (pass current through it).
3. Some say, this is internally short. (in both forward and reversed bias).
In ideal cases, the internal resistance (when short) can be zero.
But, in practical cases, the internal resistance (when short) cannot be zero. It offers at least a few resistance.
But, this case is not good for a diode.
Am I right? Please tell me.

Good working Diode in Forward Bias acts as a closed switch therefore Forward Resistance is low.
In Reverse Bias, it acts as an open switch therefore Reverse Resistance is High.
If the diode has low resistance in both the cases then it is shorted internally and not good for use.
In Reverse Bias, it acts as an open switch therefore Reverse Resistance is High.

If there is a high resistance alternately there will be low conductance. According, to the drift velocity the flow of charges will be leads to electrical conduction so there be low resistance. So at the high resistance time internally diode is short.

In forward bias condition the diode starts conducting. That means there is flow of current (charge carriers) and the diode conducts to maximum and itoffers very low resistance. (we all know that conduction is inversely proportional to resistance).

If the diode is internally short then ideally it should sow Zero resistance in both forward and reverse bias. As no material can be ideal and it is a semiconductor so it is showing very less resistance.

Because A good silicon diode has small resistance in forward bias and infinite resistance in reverse bias. So, only internally shorted diode will give the Resistance value in both direction.

If diode is internally short then it should offer zero resistance ideally but practically it is not possible because of environmental conditions like temperature and more.

If it is open than it has high are.
If it is shorted yo earth than it has some are.
Si diode has are so it is not correct diode or ideal.
Hence it is shorted internaly.

If diode is not ideal then it has small resistance in both forward and reverse bias when it is internally shorted. But, ideally the diode has zero resistance.
