6.
The primary winding of a transformer has 110 V ac across it. What is the secondary voltage if the turns ratio is 8?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
V2/V1 = N2/N1
Turns ratio = N2/N1 = 8.
V2/110 = 8
V2 = 8 x 110
V2 = 880v.

Ns=8
Np=1 Ns/Np=Vs/Vp
Vp=110v 8/1 =Vs/110(by cross mult)
Vs=? Vs=8*110
= 880v
Np=1 Ns/Np=Vs/Vp
Vp=110v 8/1 =Vs/110(by cross mult)
Vs=? Vs=8*110
= 880v

n2/n1=v2/v1.
so given that
n2/n1=8 & v1=110
there for v2=(n2/n1)*v1
so v2=880
so given that
n2/n1=8 & v1=110
there for v2=(n2/n1)*v1
so v2=880

Turns Ratio = 8, V1=110
V2 = 8*110 = 880.
V2 = 8*110 = 880.

N1/N2=V1/V2
1/8=110/V2
V2=110*8/1
V2=880V
1/8=110/V2
V2=110*8/1
V2=880V
