Isn't the formula for Wheatstone bridge is R1/R2 = R3/R4?
Everyone is solving the questions with the formula R1 * R2 = R3 * R4 yet getting the correct answer.
Can anyone please correct my approach?

R1*R2 = R3*R4.
So R4 = (R1*R2)/R3.
R4 = (3500*200)/680 = 1029 Ohm.
So R4 = (R1*R2)/R3.
R4 = (3500*200)/680 = 1029 Ohm.

I think it seems wrong.
The Wheatstone bridge formula is R1/R2 = R3/R4.
The Wheatstone bridge formula is R1/R2 = R3/R4.

Here r2 is Rv and r3 is Runk. Apply the formula r1/r2=r3/r4 you will get the correct answer.

Can anyone explain why the R1*R2 = R3*R4 approach?

@All.
R UNK means = unknown resistance.
R UNK means = unknown resistance.

When the bridge is balanced the formula will be. Ra/Rx = R1/R2.
Now we can get 1029.
Now we can get 1029.
