Easy to remember color codes BBROY GB VG W.
Let us consider BBROY as name and GB as gigabyte VG as very good AND W as last letter in English alphabetical is W (app.).

B-Black 0 10^0
B-Brown 1 10^1
R-Red 2 10^2
O-Orange 3 10^3
Y-Yellow 4 10^4
G-green 5 10^5
B-Blue 6 10^6
V-Violet 7 10^7
G-Green 8 10^8
W-White 9 10^9
Silver 10% _
Gold 20% _
For colour coding, just consider first 3 colours alone. In this problem they given red, orange, orange and silver. You take first 3 colours r,o,o. Take first 2 colours.
For red - 2.
For orange - 3.
For 3rd colour take 10^x. For our problem orange has given..
So Orange - 10^3.
So Find R = 23*10^3.
V = 50.
I = V/R = 50/(23*10^3) = 0.002173A = 2.2mA.
Answer = 2.2mA.

Color code:
"Bad Boys Race Our Young Girls But Violet Generally Wins".
Black 0.
Brown 1.
Red 2.
Orange 3.
Yellow 4.
Green 5.
Blue 6.
Violet 7.
Grey 8.
White 9.
Tolerances,
~ no color = +/- 20%.
~ Silver = +/- 10%.
~ Gold = +/- 5%.
Is this not correct? Some of you have Gold at 20% and that is incorrect from my understanding.

41mA by taking silver as 10%. But they took 1%. Hence they got 2.2mA.

Color code of resistance:
Red = 2.
Orange = 3,
So I = v/r = 50/23 k = 2.17 m = 2.2 m.
Red = 2.
Orange = 3,
So I = v/r = 50/23 k = 2.17 m = 2.2 m.

First Band, Red = 2.
Second Band, Orange = 3.
Multiplier Band, Orange = 10^3.
Tolerance Band, Silver = +or-10%.
Equation: 23*10^3 +or-10%.
I = V/R.
= 50/23*10^3.
= 50*10^-3/23.
=2.17*10^-3 A.
