Sin wave have both positive and nagetive peaks. So the average value is 0.

For 1 complete cycle of average voltage v = 2*v(peak value)/3.16.

Avg value = 0.637 * peak
= 0.637 * 12
=7.64v
= 0.637 * 12
=7.64v
