The total qualified candidates of state N in all years.

= (840+1050+920+980+1020) ÷ (7500+9200+8450+9200+8800)*100
= (4810÷43150)*100,
= 11.147%.
Approximately the answer is 11.15%.

The value 840 is showed in the calculation but there is no such value in table similarly for value 7500.

Please follow the below method.

i.e., 4990 = 5000 & 42150 = 42000.
Now, 5000/42000*100 = 11.90.
The nearest value is 11.84.
Hence, take that as an answer.
