Uttar Pradesh is the state where Fujiyama Power Systems established its 1 GW solar cell manufacturing unit, located at Dadri. The plant was developed with an investment of ₹300 crore and financed through a mix of internal funds and debt. This facility significantly strengthens the company’s in-house solar manufacturing capabilities, helping reduce dependence on imported solar cells. The additional capacity is intended to support Fujiyama’s own solar panel production, taking its total solar manufacturing capacity to 1.6 GW and contributing to India’s broader renewable energy and self-reliance goals.

Punjab has initiated a large-scale law enforcement drive called ‘Operation Parhar’ with the objective of eliminating organized gangster networks. The operation involves the deployment of around 2,000 police teams across the state to target not only major gangsters but also their associates. The initiative focuses on dismantling the complete criminal ecosystem, including financial support systems, logistics, safe houses, weapons supply, and communication networks. To encourage public participation, an Anti-Gangster Helpline has been introduced, ensuring confidentiality and swift action. Odisha & Meghalaya have entered into a collaborative agreement aimed at strengthening Early Childhood Care and Development through shared learning and capacity building. The partnership focuses on improving holistic child development by addressing nutrition, health, early learning, and community engagement. By combining Odisha’s community-based Early Childhood Development models with Meghalaya’s innovative approaches in tribal regions, the initiative seeks to promote equitable and inclusive outcomes. This cooperation allows both states to exchange best practices, enhance institutional capabilities, and create a more integrated framework for supporting children during their formative early years.

ChemVolt Global signed a memorandum of understanding with Andhra Pradesh to establish a 5 GWh lithium-ion cell gigafactory with an investment of ₹2,500 crore. The project aims to strengthen India’s domestic lithium-ion cell manufacturing ecosystem, supporting both grid-scale energy storage and electric mobility applications. The facility will manufacture advanced prismatic cells and generate significant employment, including around 1,500 direct jobs and over 4,000 indirect jobs. The project will be developed in phases, with Phase I targeting 1 GWh capacity by Q3 2027 and full 5 GWh capacity by Q2 2029.

The largest 34 MW solar captive open access project commissioned by Solidus Techno Power in collaboration with Blue Sky NRG is located in Punjab. This project, with a capacity of 34 MW (51 MWp), supplies around 71 million units of clean energy annually to Madhav KRG Ltd., significantly reducing carbon emissions by nearly 67,000 tons each year. The commissioning of this project strengthens Punjab’s renewable energy ambitions and supports industrial sustainability in line with the state’s Green Energy Policy, showcasing a strong commitment to clean and sustainable power generation.
