India has been recognized for its efforts in containing the Rinderpest Virus, also known as cattle plague, by joining an elite global group dedicated to this cause. The ICAR-National Institute of High-Security Animal Diseases (NIHSAD) in Bhopal has been designated as a Category A Rinderpest Holding Facility.
