IIM Ahmedabad entered into a memorandum of understanding with its alumna, Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon and Ranjan Tandon to set up the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of AI, backed by a substantial ₹100 crore endowment. The initiative is designed to strengthen India’s artificial intelligence ecosystem by promoting responsible and inclusive AI development. It focuses on addressing nation-scale challenges, encouraging innovation at the intersection of technology and societal impact, and creating employment opportunities. This move further reinforces IIM Ahmedabad’s leadership role in management education and emerging technology-driven research in India.

IIT Madras, through its Research Park, partnered with Coromandel International Ltd to set up a Corporate Research Centre. The Centre will serve as a hub for collaborative research programs, technology incubation, talent development, and international partnerships. This initiative aims to accelerate innovation, drive technological advancements, and strengthen the agricultural sector. By leveraging IIT Madras’ research expertise and Coromandel’s industry experience, the partnership is expected to promote applied research, develop cutting-edge solutions for farming, and support sustainable practices in agriculture, ultimately contributing to sectoral growth and knowledge exchange.

Galgotias University inaugurated the IIT Mandi Catalyst Satellite Centre to foster innovation, support early-stage startups, and facilitate the translation of research into market-ready solutions. The centre aims to bridge the gap between research and commercialization, promoting deep-tech innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, Galgotias University signed two MoUs with NIT Jamshedpur and Jharkhand University of Technology to enable joint research initiatives, academic exchange, and shared incubation programs. This initiative highlights the university’s role in strengthening collaboration between academia and industry while nurturing the growth of technology-driven startups.

The Drug Free Campus Campaign was launched at Delhi University by Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan as part of a national effort to promote substance-free educational environments. Along with the campaign, an e-pledge portal and a mobile application under the Nasha Mukt Parisar Abhiyaan were introduced to encourage participation from students and institutions. The initiative is designed to be extended across all Central Higher Educational Institutions and aligns with broader national programs such as the MY Bharat Portal and the PM Anusandhan Yojana, supporting responsible youth development, nation-building, and innovation.

IIM Ahmedabad is the institution where the ₹40-crore DST–NIDHI Centre of Excellence was inaugurated to strengthen India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem. The large 59,000 sq ft facility is designed to function as a national hub that supports technology translation, venture creation, and collaboration among scientists, management professionals, and industry leaders. The initiative also introduced “Translation Endeavours,” a platform aimed at connecting academia, investors, and government bodies to accelerate the commercialisation of indigenous innovations. This development highlights IIM Ahmedabad’s growing role in fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship and advanced research-driven enterprises.
