IIM Ahmedabad is the institution where the ₹40-crore DST–NIDHI Centre of Excellence was inaugurated to strengthen India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem. The large 59,000 sq ft facility is designed to function as a national hub that supports technology translation, venture creation, and collaboration among scientists, management professionals, and industry leaders. The initiative also introduced “Translation Endeavours,” a platform aimed at connecting academia, investors, and government bodies to accelerate the commercialisation of indigenous innovations. This development highlights IIM Ahmedabad’s growing role in fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship and advanced research-driven enterprises.

The Global Research Foundation was launched to strengthen international collaboration in education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. IIT Madras is positioning itself as a globally networked academic hub with a long-term vision of becoming the world’s first multinational university. The initiative was inaugurated by the External Affairs Minister and reflects the institution’s expanding global footprint, including its overseas campus in Tanzania. Through this foundation, IIT Madras aims to foster cross-border research partnerships, attract global talent, and enhance India’s role in international higher education and innovation ecosystems.

Australia’s Victoria University is set to open its first Indian campus in Gurugram, a major city in the Delhi NCR region known for its expanding educational and technological infrastructure. This development marks a significant milestone under India’s National Education Policy reforms, which now allow top foreign universities to establish campuses in the country. The Gurugram campus, expected to be operational by mid-2026, will offer globally aligned programs in Business, Information Technology, and Research. By bringing its unique Block Model of teaching to India, the university aims to provide high-quality, affordable international education, reduce overseas expenses for students, and strengthen India’s global academic collaborations.

IIM Ranchi earned international recognition by receiving the prestigious AMBA accreditation, placing it among the top 2% of business schools worldwide. This accreditation reflects excellence in curriculum innovation, teaching quality, student learning experience, and career outcomes. Additionally, the institute was awarded 4 Palmes of Excellence in the Eduniversal Best Business Schools Ranking 2025, signifying significant international influence and growing global engagement. Lund University secured the top position in the QS World University Sustainability Rankings 2026, marking the first time it has achieved this distinction since the rankings began in 2023. It displaced the University of Toronto, which had been the leader for two consecutive years. The 2026 edition evaluated nearly 2,000 institutions across 106 countries, reflecting a broader global participation in measuring environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Lund University earned a perfect score of 100, showcasing its strong commitment to sustainable practices, climate action, social equality, and transparent governance. Its leadership underscores the growing role of universities in shaping a sustainable future.
