Reliance is set to partner with UK-based Rolls-Royce to explore the establishment of a dedicated aerospace gas turbine complex in India. The proposed collaboration aims to support the joint development and manufacturing of aero-engines for India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The partnership combines Rolls-Royce’s expertise in advanced propulsion technology with Reliance’s manufacturing and execution capabilities. The initiative is expected to strengthen India’s indigenous aerospace ecosystem, reduce dependence on foreign-made defence equipment, and enhance domestic capabilities in fighter-engine production. The AMCA is a twin-engine stealth fighter being developed for India’s future air-combat requirements.
