Adani Defence & Aerospace has signed an agreement with Thales Group to manufacture 70mm rockets locally in India. This collaboration supports the Indian government’s "Make in India" initiative and aims to enhance self-reliance in defence production. Thales Group, headquartered in Paris, France, specializes in designing and manufacturing electrical systems, devices, and equipment for the aerospace, defence, transportation, and security sectors globally.

INS Sunayna, the second Saryu-class patrol vessel of the Indian Navy, entered Port Victoria, Seychelles as part of its long-range deployment in the South West Indian Ocean Region. This deployment coincides with the celebration of Seychelles National Day and marks the continued participation of Indian military contingents in the event since 1976. The visit includes various engagements and activities aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and maritime security cooperation between India and Seychelles.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) developed the Medium Range-Microwave Obscurant Chaff Rocket (MR-MOCR) and delivered it to the Indian Navy. This technology, developed by DRDO’s Jodhpur lab, creates a microwave obscurant cloud in space to protect against threats equipped with radio frequency seekers. The rocket's effectiveness in reducing radar detection was validated through Phase-I and Phase-II trials conducted on Indian Navy ships, demonstrating its strategic significance in naval operations.

Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani has been designated as the next Vice Chief of Army Staff, following the government's approval on June 20. Currently heading the Army’s Central Command, he brings over 37 years of distinguished military service, commanding various units and holding key positions. His appointment to this role underscores his seniority and extensive experience within the Indian Armed Forces, positioning him as the deputy professional head of the Indian Army and a crucial advisor to the Ministry of Defence.

Tarang Shakti-2024 is India's inaugural multinational air exercise, organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF). It aims to enhance cooperation and interoperability between the air forces of participating nations, including Germany and signifies a significant milestone in India's defence diplomacy efforts.
