Bina Agarwal and James K. Boyce were jointly awarded the inaugural 2024 Global Inequality Research Awards (GiRA) for their contributions to understanding gender inequalities, ecofeminism, and the relationship between social inequality and environmental degradation. The GiRA, initiated by the World Inequality Lab and CRIS, recognizes research excellence in global inequality every two years.
