Justice Prasanna B Varale, the current Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, has been formally appointed as a Supreme Court judge, marking his notable achievement as the senior-most High Court Judge from the Scheduled Caste and the only Chief Justice from a Scheduled Caste among the Chief Justices of High Courts across the country.
