Haryana has become the India's first state to treat Hepatitis-C patients of all categories through oral medicine. This drug will be provided free of cost for permanent residents of all categories at the district level.

Union minister Kiren Rijiju said that, India is the first country to partner with social networking site Facebook on disaster response. According to the Home Ministry, the programme in collaboration with Facebook, will be piloted in two disaster-prone states: Assam and Uttarakhand.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy has been appointed the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana State. He will be the second DGP of the state after its formation in 2014.

K Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has declared Urdu as the state's second official language. Every office in the state will now have an Urdu speaking officer. Kirti Nidhi Bista (90), the former Prime Minister and veteran politician of Nepal, has passed away on November 11, 2017 in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu. He served as Prime Minister of Nepal from 1969 to 1970, 1971 to 1973 and 1977 to 1979 and was also the Vice-chair in the government led by then King Gyanendra Shaha.
