Flanged joint--> at locations of huge pressure near water supply plant.

Flexible joint--> at the location of temperature stresses to allow expansion and contraction and flexure.

Dresser Coupling joint-> used for CI or steel pipes with plain ends. Can be both rigid and flexible.

Simplex Joint-> for the asbestos pipe.

Socket and spigot-> for ended pipes with different dia for CI pipes.
