The actual formula is Q = (P-0.2S)^S/(P+0.8S).
Q = (12-2)^10 /(12+8),
= 100/20,
= 5.
Q = (12-2)^10 /(12+8),
= 100/20,
= 5.

The direct runoff.
Q = (P-0.2S)^2/(P+0.8S).Put p=12 and s=10.
We will get Q=5 cm.
Q = (P-0.2S)^2/(P+0.8S).Put p=12 and s=10.
We will get Q=5 cm.

Q = (P-0.2S)^S/(P+0.8S).
Q = (P-0.2S)^S/(P+0.8S).

By using direct run off formula.
(P-0.2s)^2/p+.8s.
(P-0.2s)^2/p+.8s.

For direct runoff.
Q = (P-0.2S)^2/(P+0.8S).
Put p=12 and s=10 in above equation,
We will get Q=5 cm.
Q = (P-0.2S)^2/(P+0.8S).
Put p=12 and s=10 in above equation,
We will get Q=5 cm.

Capacity 10 cm rainfall 12 cm then runoff will be 12-10 = 2.
Then how the answer became 5.
Then how the answer became 5.
