If you consider the joint then you have to consider the members related to that joint.
If we consider the member as 12 then we have to consider the diagonal cross joint too.
From that concept. Indeterminacy= 12+3-2x7= 1.
If we consider the m as 10, then J=6, so indeterminacy=10+3-2x6=1, so the correct answer will be 1.

For pin-jointed frame Degree of indeterminacy = m+r-2j here m= 12 are =3 & j = 6 so the answer will be 3 do not confuse for joint as seven by counting diagonal cross joint others are well clear there is a roller and hinge support so the reaction is 3.

M+r-2j.
Member=m=9,
Joint=j=5,
Reaction=r=3,
=9+3-2(5)=12-10=2.
Member=m=9,
Joint=j=5,
Reaction=r=3,
=9+3-2(5)=12-10=2.

m = 10 j= 6 r = 5.
10 -2 * 6 + 5.
3.
10 -2 * 6 + 5.
3.

Correct answer is 1.
ii= m-2j+3,
ie=r-R.
Total indeterminacy= ii+ie.
Where,
m=10, j=6, r=3, R=3.
ii= m-2j+3,
ie=r-R.
Total indeterminacy= ii+ie.
Where,
m=10, j=6, r=3, R=3.

Ds= m +r --2j ,m= 10,r= 3( hinge 2 roller 1 so total r=3), j = 6
Ds= m+r -2j= 10 +3 -2 * 6 = 1.
So I think the answer is 1 and if we take j= 5 then answer ds= 10+ 3 - 5 * 2 = 3.
Ds= m+r -2j= 10 +3 -2 * 6 = 1.
So I think the answer is 1 and if we take j= 5 then answer ds= 10+ 3 - 5 * 2 = 3.

First panel carries 1 extra member which disturbs the triangular behaviour of the frame. Whereas the 2nd panel has perfect triangular behaviour.
So, the static indeterminacy is 1.
So, the static indeterminacy is 1.

Considering a joint is one where only ends of the members are joining.
