In chain survey,

Linear measurement is only done.

Angular measurement is not done. So the correct answer is B.

In chain surveying, field work is limited to linear measurements only therefore option B is correct.

The chain never measured in angular measurement. So D is incorrect.

First making offset and then solving triangle does not require any angular instrument hence D may be the answer.

In chain survey, only chain and tape are used for surveying.

Hence, the only perpendicular line can be drawn with the help of chain or tape only.
