Why it was statically determinate structure?

Why option A is right?

since support reactions are 4 and equilibrium equations were 3 and because of a hinge 1 additional equilibrium will be added So,
D = R-S.
R = 4.
S = 3+1 = 4.
D = 4-4 = 0.
Statically determinate.

We know that D = R-S.

So, support reaction is 4, equilibrium equations 3, because it is hinged.

So, D = 4-4 = 0.

It is statistical.

Three hinged arc mean?

You are absolutely correct @Mayank.

D=R-3N where R=6 b/c of 3 hinges and N=2 two member so D=6-3*2=0.

Parameshwar said:   8 years ago
We know that D= R-3N.
Here R 6each hing reaction 2 so 3 hinged = 6.
Now mamber = 2.
so put hte value in eqution,
D=6-(3*2),
= 0.

Why should we add additional equilibrium?
