55 R is the standard older rail section used for Broad Gauge (B.G.).
45 R, 35 R, and 30 R are typically used for Metre Gauge (M.G.) tracks.
40 R is explicitly listed in technical sources as a rail section not utilised on Indian Metre Gauge tracks, and it is similarly not a standard for Broad Gauge.
