P=WH, H=P/W, H=48/.8=60. |

Hi, @Brijendra. How you take 4.8 as 48? |

Hello, @Brijendra. How you take pressure 4.8 to 48? |

Shubham said: (Sep 8, 2016)

@Brijendra. Tell me how you converted 4.8 to 48? |

Here, it is converted it in newton by multiplying 10. Another way to do it is, 1st convert 4.8kg/cm2 into kg/m2 by multiplying it with 10000. Ten again multiply by 10 to get in N/m2, then find out the specific weight. => 8 * 1000 * 10 now divide 480000/8000. You will get 60 as an answer. |

Explain briefly! |

Pressure = W * H. 4.8 * 10^3 = sp. grvty * dnsty * H. 4800 = 0.8 * 1* H. H = 6000cm = 60m. |

H = p/w. = 48/.8, = 60. |

Abhishek Anand said: (Feb 13, 2017)

Answer must be 60m. I agree. |

Bastard said: (Apr 20, 2017)

PRESSURE=(UNIT WT.)*(HEIGHT). 4.8 = (0.8)*(1000/100^3)*(H), H = 6000 cm. H = 60 m. |

Bibek said: (Jul 14, 2017)

Answer 60 m is correct. I agree. |

Yes, they all are right, the answer must be in a meter. |

@ALL. P=4.8kg/cm^2---> (1) Now we know that 1kg=10N, put in---> (1) P=48N/cm^2. W=.8. Now calculate hight by formula-P=w.h. And get answer 60 cm. |

Sadulla Ahmed said: (Dec 22, 2018)

Yes, it's 60m. I agree. |

P = wh. w = 1 g/cc = 1000kg/cc. P = 4.8kg/cm^2 = 4.8 * 10^4 kg/m^2. 4.8 * 10^4 = 0.8 * 1000 vh. 48 = 0.8h. h = 48/0.8. h = 60m. |

Spsiro said: (Jul 21, 2019)

(4.8*10000*10)/(.8*1000*10) = 60m is the correct answer. |

Sumanta said: (Oct 2, 2019)

It should be 60 m not 60 cm. |

Bhim said: (Apr 4, 2020)

It should be 60m not 60cm. |

Vim said: (Apr 27, 2020)

P= 4.8*10^4Kg/m^2. pressure head= p/y = 4.8*10^4/ 0.8*1000. = 60m. |

Jafar said: (Sep 19, 2020)

1 kg=9.81 N so P=4.8kg/cm2 which is equal to 4.8 x 9.81 x 10000 N/m2(1m = 100cm). So now P=w.h where w=spG unit wt of water=0.8 x 9.81. hence h=60000 cm or 60m. |

Masum said: (Nov 16, 2020)

Yes, it should be 60m. |

Nasir Rasool said: (May 10, 2021)

60m is the right answer. |
