1/8+1/12-1/6=1/24.
BECAUSE A+B = 8
B+C = 12
A+C = ?
A+B+C = 6.
BECAUSE A+B = 8
B+C = 12
A+C = ?
A+B+C = 6.

(A+B)+(B+C)+(C+A) = 2 (A+B+C).
1/8 + 1/12+ (C+A) = 2 * 1/6.
1/8 + 1/12+ (C+A) = 2 * 1/6.
