A's = (A+B+C) - (B+C) = 1/6-1/8 = 1/24.
B's = (A+b+C) - (A+B) 1/6-1/12 = 1/12.
A+C's (1/24) + (1/12) = 1/8.
Therefore they can complete in 8 days.
B's = (A+b+C) - (A+B) 1/6-1/12 = 1/12.
A+C's (1/24) + (1/12) = 1/8.
Therefore they can complete in 8 days.

Why can't we simply subtract A+B's 1 day work from B+C's 1 day work to get A+C's 1 day work?

How its come on 1/6-1/2=1/12
1/6-1/8= 1/24
1/12+1/24= 1/8
1/6-1/8= 1/24
1/12+1/24= 1/8

Assume A+C as x
so now
2(A+B+C)=1/8+1/12+1/x
2(1/6) =5/24+1/x
finally
x =8
so now
2(A+B+C)=1/8+1/12+1/x
2(1/6) =5/24+1/x
finally
x =8
