2.
An aeroplane covers a certain distance at a speed of 240 kmph in 5 hours. To cover the same distance in 1 hours, it must travel at a speed of:
300 kmph
360 kmph
600 kmph
720 kmph
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Distance = (240 x 5) = 1200 km.

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed = 1200/(5/3) km/hr.     [We can write 1 hours as 5/3 hours]

Required speed = 1200 x 3 km/hr = 720 km/hr.

Previous time is 5 * 60 = 300 minute and new time is 60 + 40 = 100 minute.
So, we need to increase speed 3 times as our required time is reduced 3 times.

So the speed will be 240 * 3 = 720 kmph.

Please tell me.

240 km hour in 5 hours so 240 * 5 = 1200 km total distance.

Distance = 1 + 2/5 = 3/5.
= 1200/1 * 3/5.
= 1200 * 3 = 3600, = 1 * 5 = 5 .
= 3600/5 = 720.

So, the answer is 720 km.

I think the question should be in 1 hour 40 minutes not in 1 hour.
