When ratio are different, then which formula I have to use?

Ishika said:   9 years ago
Hi,

Is this applicable even if it is mentioned that the denomination is in ratio and not equal?

@Amortya.

Let no.of 5 rupee note be X.
Then,
No.of 10 rupee note will be (70-X).
Therefore,

5X-10( 70- X) = 590,
X = 22.
Therefore num of 10 rupee note is 70-22 = 48.

Correct me, if I am wrong.

Let no of 5 rupees note be x.
Then
The no of 10 rupees notes will be (70-x).
Therefore,
5x - 10(70-x) = 590,
x = 22.
Therefore, num of 10 rupees notes is 70 - 22 = 48.
