A sum of Rs. 1360 has been divided among A, B and C such that A gets
 of what B gets and B gets
 of what C gets. B's share is:

 of what B gets and B gets
 of what C gets. B's share is:
Answer: Option
                                                    Explanation:
                                                Let C's share = Rs. x
| Then, B's share = Rs. | x | , A's share = Rs. | ![]()  |
    2 | x | x | ![]()  |
    = Rs. | x |
| 4 | 3 | 4 | 6 |
![]()  |
    x | + | x | + x = 1360 |
| 6 | 4 |
![]()  |
    17x | = 1360 |
| 12 |
  x = |
    1360 x 12 | = Rs. 960 |
| 17 |
| Hence, B's share = Rs. | ![]()  |
    960 | ![]()  |
    = Rs. 240. |

                a + b + c = 1360,
a : b = 2 : 3,
b : c = 1 * 3 : 4 * 3 = 3 : 12.
So, 2 + 3 + 12 = 17.
then, 1360/17 = 80.
80 * 3 = 240.
                a : b = 2 : 3,
b : c = 1 * 3 : 4 * 3 = 3 : 12.
So, 2 + 3 + 12 = 17.
then, 1360/17 = 80.
80 * 3 = 240.

                HOW 17 COMES?
All explanations did explain clearly how 17 come, ok 12 is the LCM of 6 and 4 down, but up there x+x+X so it turns to 17 x.

                A +B + C =1360.............(eq1)
A = 2/3 B.............(eq2)
B =1/4 C...............(eq3).
So, simplify C in terms of B bcz we have to find B's share.
;C =4B.
Now put this values in eq 1.
2/3B +B + 4B =1360,
On taking l.c.m.
2B +3B+ 12B =4080,
17 B = 4080,
B =4080/17,
B =240.

                Take lcm of 2,3,5,4 = 60,
Now c get 60,
B get 1/4 of b 1/4*60=15.
A get 2/3 of b get 2/3*15=10,
Now the ratio of a b c is 2:3:12,
Then B share is 3/17*1360=240.
                Now c get 60,
B get 1/4 of b 1/4*60=15.
A get 2/3 of b get 2/3*15=10,
Now the ratio of a b c is 2:3:12,
Then B share is 3/17*1360=240.
