Given 40% i.e 40/100 = 2/5;
New ratio 2/5 : 2/3 = 6/10 = 3/5.
New ratio 2/5 : 2/3 = 6/10 = 3/5.

A/B = 2/5 X 3/2.
A/B = 6/10.
A/B = 3/5.
Am I right?
A/B = 6/10.
A/B = 3/5.
Am I right?

@Kusu you said why not 3:5:
Let say:
2A/5 = 2B/3.
First number being A and second number being B.
The question asked for the ratio of the first number to the second.
That means you got to get it into this form: A/B or A:B.
So rearrange 2A/5 = 2B/3 to get A/B = 5/3.
Therefore the ratio is of A:B is 5:3.
