A and B together have Rs. 1210. If of A's amount is equal to of B's amount, how much amount does B have?
Rs. 460
Rs. 484
Rs. 550
Rs. 664
Answer: Option
Explanation:

4 A = 2 B
15 5

A = 2 x 15 B
5 4

A = 3 B

A+B=1210.

A:B=3:2.
A/B=3/2.
2A=3B.

Therefore, A=(3B)/2.

And substituting, (3B/2)+B=1210.

And hence, 5B=2420 => B=484 Rs.

Let A have x Rs.
Let B have y Rs.
Acc. to Question,

x + y = 1210-----------------1.

Now as per condition,
4/15 x = 2/5 y.

therefore, x = 2/5 y X 15/4.

x = 3/2 y.

Put this value in equation 1.

3/2 y + y =1210.
3y + 2y = 2420.
5y = 2420.
y = 484.

Therefore B has amount of Rs. 484/-.

Dude why to are going in long way.

The shortcut:

He ask about B share,

Directly 1210 x 2/5 = 484.

4/15*A = 2/5*B.

A/B = 3/2.

Ratio scale A B Total amount

3 2 5

*242 *242 *242

26 484 1210

So B share is 484.

A+B = 1210 ---- 1.

Given,

4/15*A = 2/5*B.

So A = 3/2*B ----- 2.

From 1 & 2.

3/2B+B = 1210.

5B = 1210*2.
B = 1210*2/5.

B = 484 ------ Answer.

A=4/5, B=2/5.

Total amount=1210.
Therefore the total amount of B=1210*2/5=484.

So, Ans is 484.
