Why we can not find the value of b directly?

b = (1210 X 2/5) = 484.

(4/15)A = (2/5)B.

A/B = 3/2.
1210/5 = 242,
242 * 2 = 484.

Let's B's amount be Rs (1210 - A).

According to questions;

4/15 of A = 2/5 of B [ B = Rs. (1210-A) ]
4A/15 =2/5 (1210 - A),
20A = 30 (1210 - A),
A = 3/2 (1210 - A),
2A = 3630 - 3A,
5A = 3630,
A = 3630/5,
So, A = 726.

Now, B's amount = 1210 - A.
= 1210 - 726.
= Rs. 484 =>answer.

We can do this question in this way also.

A = 4/15, B = 2/5.

Both are equal to each other we can say that,
A = B -> (2/5 : 4/15) * 15.
A : B -> 6 : 4.

B -> 4/10 * 1210.
B -> 484 Ans.

It is simple that the share of b is 2/5, it is understood that the share of a is 3/5. So apply the % and find out.
