In a bag, there are coins of 25 p, 10 p and 5 p in the ratio of 1 : 2 : 3. If there is Rs. 30 in all, how many 5 p coins are there?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Let the number of 25 p, 10 p and 5 p coins be x, 2x, 3x respectively.
| Then, sum of their values = Rs. | ![]() |
25x | + | 10 x 2x | + | 5 x 3x | ![]() |
= Rs. | 60x |
| 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
![]() |
60x | = 30 | x = |
30 x 100 | = 50. |
| 100 | 60 |
Hence, the number of 5 p coins = (3 x 50) = 150.

x+2x+3x=300ps.
6x=300ps,
X=50ps.
Then 5ps coins=3*50,
=150.
6x=300ps,
X=50ps.
Then 5ps coins=3*50,
=150.

Ratio in amount in paisa 25:20:15.
No.of 5 paisa coins = (15x3000)/(60x5).
= 150 coins.
No.of 5 paisa coins = (15x3000)/(60x5).
= 150 coins.

25p,10p,5p = 1:2:3.
1/6:2/6:3/6,
30* 1/6=5,
30*2/6=10,
30*3/6=15,
5:10:15=50:100:150.
1/6:2/6:3/6,
30* 1/6=5,
30*2/6=10,
30*3/6=15,
5:10:15=50:100:150.

Confirm first whether the ratio is in the terms no.of coins or in terms of rupees.

Ans should be 300.
1x+2x+3x=30
X=5
5p coinz = 15rs
15rs = 300 coinz of 5paise.
1x+2x+3x=30
X=5
5p coinz = 15rs
15rs = 300 coinz of 5paise.

Let 30rs = 300p.
So 1x+2x+3x = 300.
x = 50.
So 1x:2x:3x = 50:100:150.
Ans is 150.
So 1x+2x+3x = 300.
x = 50.
So 1x:2x:3x = 50:100:150.
Ans is 150.

1/4*x + 1/5*x+3/20*x =30.
12x=30*20,
12x=600,
X=600/12=50,
No of 5p = 3(50) = 150.
12x=30*20,
12x=600,
X=600/12=50,
No of 5p = 3(50) = 150.

25p : 10p : 5p --> Total Rs.30.
1 : 2 : 3 = 6.
5p = 3.
3/6 = 2 *30 = 150.
1 : 2 : 3 = 6.
5p = 3.
3/6 = 2 *30 = 150.
