A bag contains 6 black and 8 white balls. One ball is drawn at random. What is the probability that the ball drawn is white?
 3 4
 4 7
 1 8
 3 7
Explanation:

Let number of balls = (6 + 8) = 14.

Number of white balls = 8.

If we get 1 balls that is the total of 14 balls and 1 combination that means 14c1 = 14.

Ex:

We can get 1 ball means total 14 balls 1 combination that means 14C1 = 14.
If 2 ball means total 14 balls 2 combination that means 14C2 = 14x13/2x1 = 91.

And so on.

C3 means the possible combinations of 3 balls from a group of 8 or 14.

We can take 3 balls from this group in variety of manners and in such situations we use combinations and hence C3.

Then it will be 8C3/14C3.
