Total = x.
Below 8 years = 20/100 * x .
= 2/10x.
Above 8 years = 2/3 * 48.
= 32.
Total = 2/10x + 32 + 48 = x.
x = 100.
Below 8 years = 20/100 * x .
= 2/10x.
Above 8 years = 2/3 * 48.
= 32.
Total = 2/10x + 32 + 48 = x.
x = 100.

Let the no.of students = x.
Total students = below 8 + exact 8 + above 8.
X = (20/100) + 48 + 2/3(48),
X = 20x/100 + 48 + 32,
X - 20x/100 = 80,
80x/100 = 80,
X = 100.
Total students = below 8 + exact 8 + above 8.
X = (20/100) + 48 + 2/3(48),
X = 20x/100 + 48 + 32,
X - 20x/100 = 80,
80x/100 = 80,
X = 100.

>8yrs = 2/3of 48(8yrs)=> 32students.
8yrs = 48students.
<8yrs = 20%.
80% = (32+48) = 80students,
100% = ?.
Total students = 100/80*80 = 100 students.
8yrs = 48students.
<8yrs = 20%.
80% = (32+48) = 80students,
100% = ?.
Total students = 100/80*80 = 100 students.

x is a total number of students. Then According to the question,
x = 48 + 2/3*48 + 20% of x,
x = 48 + 32 + x/5,
4x/5 = 80,
x = 100 (total number of students).
x = 48 + 2/3*48 + 20% of x,
x = 48 + 32 + x/5,
4x/5 = 80,
x = 100 (total number of students).

80 %x = 48 + 2/3 * 48.
Then why 48 is again added. It's is only said in the question that 2/3 of no of students with the age of 8 years. Can someone explain?

No of students above 8 years is 48*2/3 =32,
Then let the total number of students = x,
Then 20%of x is = 20* X /100 = x/5,
Than 48 +32+x/5 = x,
Than x = 100.
Then let the total number of students = x,
Then 20%of x is = 20* X /100 = x/5,
Than 48 +32+x/5 = x,
Than x = 100.

Let us assume that total number of students =100%-20%=80%.
2/3 this means 3 parts *16=48
then 2parts * 16 = 32.
Together 80%= 48 + 32.
100% = 100 students.
2/3 this means 3 parts *16=48
then 2parts * 16 = 32.
Together 80%= 48 + 32.
100% = 100 students.

Let,Total no of students= 100.
20% are below 8,
So, (20/100)*100 = 20,
At 8,
48 members.
Above 8,
2/3 *48 = 32.
Total students = 20 + 48 + 32.
=100.
20% are below 8,
So, (20/100)*100 = 20,
At 8,
48 members.
Above 8,
2/3 *48 = 32.
Total students = 20 + 48 + 32.
=100.

Simply;
Students below age of 8= 20%
Students above age of 8= 2/3,
Students in age of 8= 48.
48*2/3= 32.
32+48= 80%.
80%+20%=100%.
So, 100 students.
Students below age of 8= 20%
Students above age of 8= 2/3,
Students in age of 8= 48.
48*2/3= 32.
32+48= 80%.
80%+20%=100%.
So, 100 students.
