@All
Total apple = 100%
sold = 40%
Remaining = 60% = 420,
Now, calculate 1 % of 420 = 420/60 = 7.
40 * 7 = 280.
Then, the total apple he had = 480 + 280 = 700.
Total apple = 100%
sold = 40%
Remaining = 60% = 420,
Now, calculate 1 % of 420 = 420/60 = 7.
40 * 7 = 280.
Then, the total apple he had = 480 + 280 = 700.

Hey, in your equation two unknowns are present. It is impossible to solve, you should know two values to solve that. Please check your equation once.

See 60% of apples remaining, which is equal to = 420,
IF 60% ------ 420 , then
40% ------ ?
40 x 420/60 = 280.
Finally 420+280 = 700 Apples.
IF 60% ------ 420 , then
40% ------ ?
40 x 420/60 = 280.
Finally 420+280 = 700 Apples.

If he sells 50% then 60 % will be rest of the fruits that is 420.
So, 420/60.
Which is equal to 7×100 = 700.
Therefore 700 was the total number of fruits.
So, 420/60.
Which is equal to 7×100 = 700.
Therefore 700 was the total number of fruits.

Total apple 100%.
Sell = 40% and he has 420 apples now.
Here, 100% - 40% = 60%.
So 60% = 420
40% = x
x = 420*40/60
x =280
The total = 280 + 420 = 700.
Sell = 40% and he has 420 apples now.
Here, 100% - 40% = 60%.
So 60% = 420
40% = x
x = 420*40/60
x =280
The total = 280 + 420 = 700.

60% =420 apples is there so.
40%= ? How many apples he sold?
Do cross multiple
You will get 280 apples he would have sold.
So, 280+420=700 apples.

Let total apple = 100%.
apple sold = 40%,
remaining apple =60%,
apple remain = 420,
so, 60% = 420.
100%= 420 * 100/60 = 700 .
Total apple =700.
apple sold = 40%,
remaining apple =60%,
apple remain = 420,
so, 60% = 420.
100%= 420 * 100/60 = 700 .
Total apple =700.

They had given indirectly for 60,.. = 420 Apples.
Then we have to find for 100, ....=x.
Soln: cross multiplication : x = (420 * 100)/60.
Ans = 700.
Then we have to find for 100, ....=x.
Soln: cross multiplication : x = (420 * 100)/60.
Ans = 700.

Let's initially, we have 100%.
40 % sell remains 60%, according to question still remains.
So, a value of 60 is given 420.
60÷420.
1-7.
100% = 700.
40 % sell remains 60%, according to question still remains.
So, a value of 60 is given 420.
60÷420.
1-7.
100% = 700.

420 IS 60 PERCENT.
IF WE DIVIDE 100 by 5 we get 20.
so divide 420 by 3 we will get 20 per cent that is 140,
Now multiply 120 by 5 we get 700.
IF WE DIVIDE 100 by 5 we get 20.
so divide 420 by 3 we will get 20 per cent that is 140,
Now multiply 120 by 5 we get 700.
