Explanation:

Let B's capital be Rs. x.

Then, 3500 x 12 = 2
7x 3

14x = 126000

x = 9000.

3500 : X.....INVESTMENT.

12 : 7.....MONTHS INVESTED.

2 : 3.....PROFITS SHARED.

So the ratio of investment should be equal to the profits shared.

3500*12 : 7*x :: 2:3.

x = 9000.
