A, B, C subscribe Rs. 50,000 for a business. A subscribes Rs. 4000 more than B and B Rs. 5000 more than C. Out of a total profit of Rs. 35,000, A receives:
Rs. 8400
Rs. 11,900
Rs. 13,600
Rs. 14,700
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Let C = x.

Then, B = x + 5000 and A = x + 5000 + 4000 = x + 9000.

So, x + x + 5000 + x + 9000 = 50000

3x = 36000

x = 12000

A : B : C = 21000 : 17000 : 12000 = 21 : 17 : 12.

A's share = Rs. 35000 x 21 = Rs. 14,700.

Why do we have to multiply by 35000 in the last step ?

Because total share is 50 thats why 21/50 [21+17+15=50].

Why we divide 21/50 in the last step. Clear my doubt.

As the amount depend on c's investment. Hence lit's assume c investmnt is x and thn accordng to question othr' investment make and form the proportion and then by share's method it will be easy to find a's share.
