A, B, C subscribe Rs. 50,000 for a business. A subscribes Rs. 4000 more than B and B Rs. 5000 more than C. Out of a total profit of Rs. 35,000, A receives:
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Let C = x.
Then, B = x + 5000 and A = x + 5000 + 4000 = x + 9000.
So, x + x + 5000 + x + 9000 = 50000
3x = 36000
x = 12000
A : B : C = 21000 : 17000 : 12000 = 21 : 17 : 12.

Better to calculate in this way.
A = 4000 more than B
B = 5000 more than C
C- = ?
Let's have a look.
C = assume x there're
c = x + ?+ b = x + 5000 + a = x + 5000 + 4000 = 50000.
c = 3x + 14000 = 50000.
c =3x+ 50000 - 14000.
= 3x = 36000.
x = 36000/3.
c = 12000.
Here total c is 12000.
Then b = 12000 + 5000 = 17000.
Then a = 12000 + 5000 + 4000 = 21000.
Tatio= 12 : 17 : 21(a,b,c).
Total 35000 * 21/50(12 + 17 + 21) = 50.
14700.
A = 4000 more than B
B = 5000 more than C

A+B+C = 50000.
Let, C = C.
B = 5000+C.
A = B+4000 (substitute B (i.e A = 5000+C+4000) ).
RESULT: A+B+C = 50000.
5000+C+C+5000+C+4000 = 50000.
3C = 50000-14000.
C = 36000/3 = 12000.
B = 5000+12000 = 17000.
A = 17000+4000 = 21000.
A's receive = (21000/50000)*35000 = 14700 (i.e favorable outcomes of A/total outcomes)*profit.
Don't know much if mistake let me know!
Let, C = C.
B = 5000+C.
A = B+4000 (substitute B (i.e A = 5000+C+4000) ).
RESULT: A+B+C = 50000.
5000+C+C+5000+C+4000 = 50000.
3C = 50000-14000.
C = 36000/3 = 12000.
B = 5000+12000 = 17000.
A = 17000+4000 = 21000.
A's receive = (21000/50000)*35000 = 14700 (i.e favorable outcomes of A/total outcomes)*profit.

c = x; b = x + 5000; a = x + 5000 + 4000;
So,
(x) + (x + 5000) + (x + 5000 + 4000) = 50000.
3x + 14000 = 50000.
3x = 50000-14000.
3x = 36000.
x = 36000 / 3.
x = 12000(c).
c = 12000.
b = 12000 + 5000 = 17000.
a = 12000 + 5000 + 4000 = 21000.
So, A : B : C = 21000 : 17000 : 12000 = 21 : 17 : 12.
A's share = 35000 * 21/50 = Rs.14700.
I hope you understood.
So,
(x) + (x + 5000) + (x + 5000 + 4000) = 50000.
3x + 14000 = 50000.
3x = 50000-14000.
3x = 36000.
x = 36000 / 3.
x = 12000(c).
c = 12000.
b = 12000 + 5000 = 17000.
a = 12000 + 5000 + 4000 = 21000.
So, A : B : C = 21000 : 17000 : 12000 = 21 : 17 : 12.
A's share = 35000 * 21/50 = Rs.14700.
I hope you understood.

Please explain why can't we take it as follows:
B = A-4000, C = A-4000-5000 = A-9000; I mean in terms of A.
According to question:
A:A-4000:A-9000.
A+A-4000+A-9000 = 50000.
3A-13000 = 50000.
3A = 37000.
A = 37000/3.
And so on. Why isn't the answer coming correct?
So, A's profit = 35000x37000.
B = A-4000, C = A-4000-5000 = A-9000; I mean in terms of A.
According to question:
A:A-4000:A-9000.
A+A-4000+A-9000 = 50000.
3A-13000 = 50000.
3A = 37000.
A = 37000/3.
And so on. Why isn't the answer coming correct?
So, A's profit = 35000x37000.

As the amount depend on c's investment. Hence lit's assume c investmnt is x and thn accordng to question othr' investment make and form the proportion and then by share's method it will be easy to find a's share.

So,
x + x + 5000 + x + 9000 = 50000.
Here x means c =12000.
So,
B's share is 5000 + 12000 = 17000.
A's share is 9000 + 12000 = 21000.
Therefore the ratio is 21:17:12.
x + x + 5000 + x + 9000 = 50000.
Here x means c =12000.
So,
B's share is 5000 + 12000 = 17000.
A's share is 9000 + 12000 = 21000.
Therefore the ratio is 21:17:12.

As per partnership deed profit is share among partners 1:1:1, if anything is not specified than why profit is distributed among partners as their investment ratio.

Add up investment & equate to profit in ratio:
= x+x+4000+x+9000.
= 3x+14000 = 50000.
x = 36000/3 = 12000.
A share's = 12000+9000 = 21000.
= x+x+4000+x+9000.
= 3x+14000 = 50000.
x = 36000/3 = 12000.
A share's = 12000+9000 = 21000.
