27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.
Soln:
(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)
D%8 = R -------------(2)
From equation(2),
((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.
=> Assume Q = 1.
=> (56+29)%8 = R.
=> 85%8 = R
=> 5 = R.

Let the number be = x.
Now if we subtract the number by 29 the number will be divisible by 56.
Therefore, (x - 29)/56 = 0.
x = 29.
Now 29/8 = 5.
Now if we subtract the number by 29 the number will be divisible by 56.
Therefore, (x - 29)/56 = 0.
x = 29.
Now 29/8 = 5.

Here, first divisor (56) is a multiple of second divisor (8).
Required remainder = Remainder obtained on dividing 29 by 8 = 5 because same number is dividing.
Required remainder = Remainder obtained on dividing 29 by 8 = 5 because same number is dividing.

Take any multiple of 56.
Lets say,
56*2=112 and as the remainder is 29 add it to 112 so it will sum up to 141 now divide it with 8, then remainder will be 8.

Applying remainder theorem i.e.
A = bq+r .
b = divisor.
r = remainder.
A = 56q + 29.
if q = 1,
The no. is A = 85.
On dividing by 8.
Remainder r =5.
A = bq+r .
b = divisor.
r = remainder.
A = 56q + 29.
if q = 1,
The no. is A = 85.
On dividing by 8.
Remainder r =5.

This is simple question. Take any example.
56*1 = 56.
But it should leave 29 as remainder. So 56+29=85.
Let divide 85 with 8. Then get answer.(85%8=5).
56*1 = 56.
But it should leave 29 as remainder. So 56+29=85.
Let divide 85 with 8. Then get answer.(85%8=5).

The number can be written as 56K+29. Put any whole value of k i.e. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.
Therefore 29/8 gives remainder 5 or 56+29 = 85/8 gives remainder 5.
Therefore 29/8 gives remainder 5 or 56+29 = 85/8 gives remainder 5.

Let the number is x.
x/56 gives reminder 29.
So,
56+29=85.
Then,
85/56 gives reminder 29;x=85.
85/8 gives remainder 5.
So answer is 5 very simple.
x/56 gives reminder 29.
So,
56+29=85.
Then,
85/56 gives reminder 29;x=85.
85/8 gives remainder 5.
So answer is 5 very simple.

Dividing number by 56, we get 29 as remainder means,
Original number we divide by 56 is = 56+29 = 85.
So, When dividing 85 by 17, we get remainder 5.
Original number we divide by 56 is = 56+29 = 85.
So, When dividing 85 by 17, we get remainder 5.

Simple unitary method.
If x/56 = x-29 ; then, x/8 = rem?
Sol. (x-29)*x/8 = x/56
Solving the eq, we get x= 29.
Now, divide 29 by 8.
The answer is 5.
