27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.
Soln:
(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)
D%8 = R -------------(2)
From equation(2),
((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.
=> Assume Q = 1.
=> (56+29)%8 = R.
=> 85%8 = R
=> 5 = R.

Let the number be x, so when x is divisible by 56 the remainder is 29.
56*y+29 = x.
When it is divided by 8.x/8 = 56*y/8+29/8.
When 29 is divided by 8 remainder will be 5.
56*y+29 = x.
When it is divided by 8.x/8 = 56*y/8+29/8.
When 29 is divided by 8 remainder will be 5.

We can solve this type of question by a simple trick.
We know 56*3=168.
Now add 29 to 168 =197.
Now 197/56 remainder is 29(Because we add 29).
So, now 197/8 remainder is 5.
We know 56*3=168.
Now add 29 to 168 =197.
Now 197/56 remainder is 29(Because we add 29).
So, now 197/8 remainder is 5.

These is very easy friends.
First add 56 with 29 because it is the reminder so by adding we get 85.
Then divide these 85 with give number 8 you will get reminder as 5.

Let x be the number
as per the question -> x=56Q+29 so substitute any number in Q
let Q=1 then x=56*1+29=85
Now divide x by 8,the remainder obtained is the answer.

D = 56Q+29 ----> (1).
D = 8q+r -----> (2).
Convert (1) to the form of (2).
D = 56Q+29 = (8*7)Q+24+5 = (8*7)Q+(8+3)+5 = 8(7Q+3)+5.
Therefore, remainder is 5.
D = 8q+r -----> (2).
Convert (1) to the form of (2).
D = 56Q+29 = (8*7)Q+24+5 = (8*7)Q+(8+3)+5 = 8(7Q+3)+5.
Therefore, remainder is 5.

Let x be the number and y be the quotient.
x = 56*y + 29.
x = (8*7*y) + ((8*3) +5).
x = 8(7y+3) + 5.
So if the number is divided by 8, we get the remainder as 5.
x = 56*y + 29.
x = (8*7*y) + ((8*3) +5).
x = 8(7y+3) + 5.
So if the number is divided by 8, we get the remainder as 5.

If we take a number which is divisible by 56 having reminder 29.
I take 141/56 it give 29 reminder.
Now the same number is divided by 8 it will give reminder as 5.
I take 141/56 it give 29 reminder.
Now the same number is divided by 8 it will give reminder as 5.

Let k is the quotient. Then.
56k+29 = 8*7k+(8*3+5) make it in form of 8 so that easily we can take 8 as a common.
56k+29 = 8(7k+3)+5
So here 5 is the remainder.
56k+29 = 8*7k+(8*3+5) make it in form of 8 so that easily we can take 8 as a common.
56k+29 = 8(7k+3)+5
So here 5 is the remainder.

Given number is 56 and 56 is a multiple of 8 so every no divided.
By 56 is also divisible by 8 hence.
The remainder i.e. 29.
29/8 gives Remainder 5.
Hence 5.
