27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.
Soln:
(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)
D%8 = R -------------(2)
From equation(2),
((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.
=> Assume Q = 1.
=> (56+29)%8 = R.
=> 85%8 = R
=> 5 = R.

No = x, y= Quotient.
x = 56y + 29.
Here 29=remainder.
Now divide whole by 8.
As its given dividing the same No. by 8.
x/8 = 56y/8 + 29/8.
And
8)29(3
24
-----
5
-----
So answer is 5.
x = 56y + 29.
Here 29=remainder.
Now divide whole by 8.
As its given dividing the same No. by 8.
x/8 = 56y/8 + 29/8.
And
8)29(3
24
-----
5
-----
So answer is 5.

Friends, any number divided by 56 and remainder is 29, same number divided by 8, so 56/8=7, 7 is common multiplier now 29 is not divided by 7(:.7*4=28 ) but next is 7*5=35 So 5 is answer.

Let the no. divisible by 56 is x.
Then 56)x(0
0
___
29
Therefore x = 56*0+29.
x = 29.
8)29(3
24
------
5
Remainder is 5.
Then 56)x(0
0
___
29
Therefore x = 56*0+29.
x = 29.
8)29(3
24
------
5
Remainder is 5.

56 is simply divided by 8 and get 0, so whatever we multiply with it it will be divisible by 0. Now reminder value divide by 8.
29 % 8 = 5 (we get 5 as remainder).
So the answer is 5.
29 % 8 = 5 (we get 5 as remainder).
So the answer is 5.

If you want to get remainder as 29 when a number is divided by 56, take the simplest number which does that..(56+29=85). 85/29 gives 29 as remainder. Now divide 85 by 8. Remainder is 5.

Let the quotient be k
therefore the number will be 56k+29
=8*7k + 8*3+5
=(8*7k+8*3)+5
=8*(7k+3) + 5
this is in the form of divisor * quotient + remainder
therefore the remainder is 5
therefore the number will be 56k+29
=8*7k + 8*3+5
=(8*7k+8*3)+5
=8*(7k+3) + 5
this is in the form of divisor * quotient + remainder
therefore the remainder is 5

When same number is divided by two different divisors such that one divisor is multiple of another divisor and the remainder R of greater is known then remainder is given by (R/d).

56x+29 then if we consider x=1 we get 85 when divided by 17 we get a remainder of 0 then if we consider x=2 then we get 141 if further divided by 17 we get remainder as 5 and q=8.

56 is divisible by 8 so any number divisible by 56 is also divisible by 8 so consider only reminder i.e 29 divide the reminder by 8 i.e 29/8 we will get reminder 5 so answer is 5.

Number = 56x + 29 ( μ since the number gives 29 as remainder on dividing by 56).
= (7 * 8 * x) + (3 * 8) + 5.
Hence, if the number is divided by 8, we will get 5 as remainder.
= (7 * 8 * x) + (3 * 8) + 5.
Hence, if the number is divided by 8, we will get 5 as remainder.
