As 700 is not multiple of 400, 700 is not leap year.

The leap years are 400,800,1200,1600,2000...........like dis.

Then, isn't 2004 leap year?

2004 is leap year .b'coz 2004/4=501.
That means it's fully divisible .

Whenever fully divisible is it leap year?

So why 700 is not a leap year because 700/4 = 175?

All of these are leap years, the only criterion for a year to be a leap year is that it should be divisible by 4. We observe it every 4 years! check the previous years calendar guys and you'll see what I mean.

700 is a not leap year. leap year like 400, 800, 1200, 1400,1600 ........ etc.

In the Gregorian calendar 3 criteria must be taken into account to identify leap years:

The year is evenly divisible by 4;

If the year can be evenly divided by 100, it is NOT a leap year, unless;

The year is also evenly divisible by 400. Then it is a leap year.

This means that 800, 1200, 2000 are leap years, while 700, 600, 900 are NOT leap years.

For any leap year, century should be divide by 400 and non century years should be divide by 4.
