The ratio between the perimeter and the breadth of a rectangle is 5 : 1. If the area of the rectangle is 216 sq. cm, what is the length of the rectangle?

Then, Area = 216 cm2

l=3/2x or 1.5x.
Therefore, b=x and l=1.5x.
So, Area;
1.5x * x=216
1.5x^2=216
x^2=144
x=12
Length=1.5x.
= 1.5(12).
= 18 ans.

3x=2l,
l=3/2x or 1.5x.
Therefore, b=x and l=1.5x.
So, Area;
1.5x * x=216
1.5x^2=216
x^2=144
x=12
Length=1.5x.

Breadth =1x.
We know,
Perimeter of rectangle=2(length +breath)
According to question,
We can write,
2(5x+1x) = 216.
6x = 216/2,
6x = 108,
X = 108/6,
X = 18cm( answer).
Length=5x
