14.
A rectangular field is to be fenced on three sides leaving a side of 20 feet uncovered. If the area of the field is 680 sq. feet, how many feet of fencing will be required?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
We have: l = 20 ft and lb = 680 sq. ft.
So, b = 34 ft.
Length of fencing = (l + 2b) = (20 + 68) ft = 88 ft.

Why it will be l+2b?
Because here is not mentioned that either length or breath which one has to be covered?

It need not be l+2b. It can also be 2l+b (as they have mentioned only as 3 sides).

L is given as 20ft and b can found using area of rectangle and it is obtained as b = 34ft.
So one of the side having 20ft is nt fenced so it should be
l+b+b = 20 + 34 + 34 = 88 ft.
So one of the side having 20ft is nt fenced so it should be
l+b+b = 20 + 34 + 34 = 88 ft.
