It says rectangle is boys, circle is athletic and square is disciplined. It can't be 6 because it doesn't cover the square. It can't be 3 because 3 is a triangle which is a girl. If you look really closely, you will see the answer is 2 because it covers the rectangle, circle, and square. I hope this helps.

Observe the diagram, here boys are in rectangle 10, 6, 3, 2, 1, and they ask athletics so are in circle so in rect and circle common 2, 6 after discipline square so all 3 shapes are combined and see which one is common in all 3 shapes i.e;2.

I think the question is incomplete. I see no indication in the circle is athletic or the square is discipline.

Here, the common number present in circle and square is 2 so here both athletic disciplined present in circle and square is 2.
