I think the question is incomplete. I see no indication in the circle is athletic or the square is discipline.

Here is the explanation:
It says rectangle is boys, circle is athletic and square is disciplined. It can't be 6 because it doesn't cover the square. It can't be 3 because 3 is a triangle which is a girl. If you look really closely, you will see the answer is 2 because it covers the rectangle, circle, and square. I hope this helps.
