Directions to Solve

In each of the following questions two statements are given and these statements are followed by two conclusions numbered (1) and (2). You have to take the given two statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts.

Give answer:

  • (C) If either (1) or (2) follows

  • (E) If both (1) and (2) follow.

How the answer could be option B?

According to the rules of syllogism, if there is a universal negative statement the conclusion should consist of negative argument and we can't use the middle term in the conclusion thus the correct answer should be option D.

The income-expense method says E is the correct solution.

According to the income exp method, both the conclusion are correct.

Hence option E is the correct answer.

Hi I have a confusion regarding the question. According to the question,
Statement : No A is a B.
Conclusion : No B is a A.

It's always true?

Actually, the conclusion is NO WALL IS A WINDOW, But from statement 1 ALL WINDOWS ARE DOORS.

So we can conclude it as NO WALL IS A DOOR.

Don't quickly jump into conclusion after solving consider the options given below and then choose wisely.
